I was going to name this post “Anarchy: My First Class in Hong Kong” but I thought that might be too strongly worded. The professor seems eager but no one knows what’s going on! She started introducing the wrong class, it could happen to anyone. But what’s even better is that all the students seem to be able to pipe in whenever they want! At one point the ‘class representative’ started yelling at us all and organizing groups while the poor professor looked nervous and let him have a little power trip. Students are consulted about every major decision, including course content, and voice their opinion by yelling at the prof and eachother. My favourite part so far is how the local students react by “ooooohing & aaaaahing” when the professor calls on students. It definitely adds a touch of drama to Chinese Business Culture class!
